Both Ends of the Leash aims to break down the barriers currently congesting the assistance dog and handler training and certification space in Australia.
Our Purpose
Our Purpose is to create and share Australia’s leading professional assistance dog and handler training program promoting the significance and worth of both (the human and canine) ends of the leash.
Our Vision
Our Vision is to intensify the human animal bond of every assistance dog and handler team through best practices in professionalism, respect, understanding and holistic training practices that promote the dog’s natural (sampling, alerting and tasking) abilities.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to share knowledge, support and encourage the potential of the individuals who bravely live their lives with disability, and their incredible canines who enrich their lives. Increasing each team’s independence and individual capacity while growing their confidence by meeting the assistance dog and handler team where they are.
We aim to accomplish this on the foundation of ethical animal-welfare, positive-rewards and relationship-centred practice to produce seamless, harmonious assistance dog-handler teams.
Disability Discrimination Act
